Snow plus rain was “snain”
In Sonny Eliot’s brain
It’s snaining again!

This one calls for a bit of explanation.  Sonny Eliot was a TV weatherman in Detroit.  I grew up watching him - he was 'the' weatherman when I was a kid.  He was known for his light-hearted approach, often combining words in amusing ways to take the sting out of bad weather forecasts.  He also hosted a weekly show "At The Zoo" where he would go behind the scenes at the Detroit Zoo, which was one of my favorite places.  Sonny passed away last November at age 91.  He was truly one of a kind.
