Already ten years ago
Some men have no shame

I took this photo in 1986, lying on the ground at the foot of the World Trade Center. I had the photo stashed away, forgotten for years. But on September 11th, 2001, I just had to pull it out and see it. It struck me so hard that these two huge buildings, buildings I'd actually been in and on top of, were just gone, reduced to piles of rubble, along with all the people that were trapped inside them. I didn't know anyone who died there personally, but it still connected me. |
